The new craze for computers is following the trend that we just recently saw with cellphones. Notice how I said cellphones not smartphones. This is because before the invention of the smartphone, the obsession was to have a smaller and smaller phones while still retaining functionality. Lots of people have poked fun at that including shows such as Corner Gas. The trend that we have seen with smartphones is actually the same in some aspects while opposite in others. What the trend is now is to have thinner, sleeker phones that have larger screens. This follows what we want from our televisions and monitors. So to summarize we want smaller, sleeker technology that can run at the same or higher quality as its predecessors, while increasing screen size.
