The ArcaBoard is the latest innovation from the ARCA Space Corporation. This new release marks the start of a new age in technology and transportation. Unlike the Breezeboard sold by companies like Swegway which some have called hover boards, the new board made by ARCA can actually hover.
Specifications of the ArcaBoard
The board comes in a variety of colours including beige, green, and blue. It has a max hover height of 30 cm (1 ft), a max speed of 20 km/h (12.5 mph), and a max flight time of 6 min. It has 36 motors and a whopping 272 HP (horse power). With the included charger it takes 6 hours to charge but if you buy their charging dock station, charging takes only 35 min. This dock is aptly named the ArcaDock.

Summary and Opinions
This new board made by the ARCA Space Corporation is the first step towards single person hover transportation. It is rather expensive and understandably so. If you are willing to spend the almost $20,000 on the board it would almost be worth it to spend the extra $4,500 in order to have it charge in 1/12 of the time. My main concern is the ability to only be able to hover for 6 minutes. This is probably due to the ArcaBoard’s battery capacity and the amount of power that is required to keep it hovering. The fact that they have been able to create a working hover board is immensely impressive and commendable, but as stated before it is the first step in the right direction. A direction that will hopefully see us in a world where people could travel great distances on personal hover boards.
