A company from the Netherlands named Arenar has recently developed a device that allows you to induce lucid dreaming during REM sleep. They call this device the iBand+.
How Does it Work?
As you can see in this video all you have to do is fall asleep with this device on your head and it allows you to lucid dream. The device measures your brain activity and determines when you have entered a state of REM sleep. Once this happens it starts to play audio and visual clues to make you aware that you are in fact sleeping, without waking you up. Once you are aware that you are sleeping you begin to lucid dream.
This product also claims that it can help wake you up at the optimal time during your sleep cycle in order for you to always feel well rested when you wake up. It says that it has a built in alarm system that wakes you up at a certain time. It also states that it keeps track of your health statistics to help you track your improvements from using the device.
What is Lucid Dreaming?
Lucid dreaming is a state of sleep in which you are dreaming but you are aware that you are dreaming. If you can achieve this state of being you can have full control over your dreams. You will essentially be awake in your own mind while your body rests.
Where Can You Learn More About the iBand+?
You can learn more about them on their website or their Facebook page. They also had successful Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns.
Comments and Opinions
I have personally never experienced lucid dreaming, but I have heard that it is one of the most amazing experiences ever. Being in full control of your own dream world would be like playing a virtual reality video game where you have admin privileges to change and control anything you wish. I think that the iBand+ is a very innovative peace of technology. We all lead very busy lives and being able to take advantage of your nights as well as your days would, in my opinion, improve happiness and enjoyment for all
