An American by the name of Mike Bukhovtsev recently completed an Indiegogo campaign for his new product. This product is designed for children and parents. It is technology designed to be used, not as a distraction from each other, but as something to enjoy together. This device is a miniature projector that they call Cinemood.

What Are The Features?

This device comes with built in cartoons, animated movies, lullabies and audiobooks. As well as storing the built in entertainment, it allows you to stream videos from Netflix Kids, DisneyLife and other family friendly video streaming services. It also allows you to record, send and view video messages.

What Was The Reason For Creating The Cinemood?

As this video describes, the main goal was to create a device that would allow families to come together and interact. This is as opposed to sitting on their own separate devices and not talking to each other. The creators realized that they were not going to be able to pull people away from their devices, so they instead decided to create a device that they can use as a group.

Where Can You Learn More?

You can learn more information on their website or by going to their Indiegogo campaign. Their fundraising phase is over but they are still allowing you to preorder your very own Cinemood through their campaign page.

Comments and Opinions

I think this is a very good idea to get kids used to and involved with technology. Unlike a lot of technology it is more interactive and child friendly. It will be useful through all stages of their childhood starting with lullabies and bed time stories, then into cartoons and video messages, then finally it can be used as a normal projector that can access files from a usb drive. This is a gift that will be useful and fun for all through your children’s childhood.
