A German company by the name of Lofelt recently released a new product. This product is a bracelet that they believe will enhance the user’s audio experience. It does this by sending vibrations through the user’s body, replicating the feeling that one would have at a live concert. They call this device the Basslet.

How Does it Work?

This video contains an explanation as to how it works as well as testimony from a very high profile test group. This included Dylan Wood, Head of Sound at Ableton; Stephan Zilch, Managing Director CEE of Spotify and Mad Zach, Saturate Records. These beta testers had nothing but good things to say about the product. They enjoyed and wanted to be wearing one constantly.

This product works by vibrating along with the music to simulate the experience one would have at a live concert, standing near the subwoofer. It is very compact and is the first of its kind.

Comments and Opinions

This looks like an amazing product. I agree with the creators; music should not only be heard but also felt. This product would allow the user to feel the music and have a full body experience as opposed to just an auditory one. The Basslet allows you to take your audio experience to the next level and I think that it will definitely enhance not only the music industry, but the virtual reality industry as well. This product is the next step towards full immersion into games, music and virtual reality. I know I’m hoping it works as well as they say it does.
