A company by the name of Vestergaard, is the parent company for a bunch of different products. One such product is a straw that purifies water as you drink it. It can remove Lisjdlkjdklds. Which means that you can drink out of any naturally occurring fresh water source. They call it the LifeStraw.
How Does It Work?
This straw uses a filtration system to purify the water as it is being pulled through it. It is BPA free and all you need to do to clean it is blow out any remaining water when you are done. According to their website, “The LifeStraw removes 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria, including E. coli, and 99.9% of waterborne protozoa, including Giardia & Cryptosporidium.” This device can filter up to 1,000 litres which, with daily usage, would last you a year. The less frequently you use it, the longer it will last. Unfortunately the normal LifeStraw will not filter out chemicals, salt, heavy metals, or viruses. But other devices in their product line can “remove 99.999% of viruses.”

I think that this product is a step towards a brighter future that will assist in affording equal opportunities to have access to some of our most basic needs.
